Don't be scared of the Dollar Store

As a young person who only works an the side while I am learning a "real" job I know the power of saving in the right places! When you are trying to save money, weather ur a student or anyone else, it is of incredible importance to know where to save, some things will cost far more in the long run if you don't make the investment the first time around. But there are sooo many things you can save on. And the dollar store is sooo much fun wenn you get over the often unorganized and massive pile of all kinds or things. There is also plenty of junk, or at least things that I have absolutely no use for, BUT if you have the time and a smidge of patience (and a sence of hummor) you can find so e really cool stuff at  the dollar store. And you can find stuff you might even need. Today I found some really cheep sewing materials and some ransoms things that caught my fancy.
So my haul from the Eurofuchser earlier today consisted of dress pins, sarety pins, 2 zippers, assorted colorful thread, incense sticks, baking parchment, and chopsticks. All of which I am very happy with.
I have two large downsides to the dollar store, but I think both of them can be over looked. Anyway, the first is that you may end up taking something with you simply becuase it a and so cheep and realize too late that you really don't need it. And while it may have cost you 50 cents, those are 50 cents you could have saved. The second problem is that it is unreliable so you have to calculate that you may still have to go somewhere else afterwards because there is no guarantee that you will find everything you needed.

Loving this May

Loving this May

This May I discovered Pinterest and it is really bad. It's become quite the time suck , and very fast. I also found an aluminum free deodorant that does work despite my suspicions. And as the days have gotten quite warm here I have been loving simple flowy tops and syrups to embellish water because I have been trying to drink even more than usual with this heat.

So so So MUCH

It feels like it has been half a life time since I last posted. Not to mention that so very much has happened everything from the start of a new sememster and therefore also new classes to my move. this was a huge time suck otherwise i would have tried to document the prosses because although it wasn't my first move away from home, it was still a huge change and I love it. I certainly want to post about my room including pictures very soon.
For now I just wanted to post about the start of spring because we have beautiful weather here and when we have great weather around easter I get kick where I feel like I need a few changes. So the other day I cut one side of my hair really short to creat a bit of an undercut. I really do love the new look although I'm not quite sure if I'm done with it the way it is now, I may cut more, and I may cut all of it into a very short pixi. but for now I am really glad that I made this change because it has been the change to start giving me a fresh outlook on life.

Sprouts and Aluminum free deodorant

Hello.
This is a little life update. I've been soooooo busy with school that I haven't had a lot of time to blog. Not to mention that I seem to be lacking in photos. And I haven't figured out how to take selfies of my outfits.
Aaaanywho. Lately I've been obsessed with sprouting things. I'm currently sprouting lentils and just bought some more seeds for future sprouting ventures. I would be happy to write a little about sprouts if it interests anyone. Since this is the time of year when fresh local produce is a little scarce, it is also the best time to grow little sprouts and bring some lively energy into this season.
And on a beauty relevant topic, I've been trying to pay better attention to what I put on my skin. Especially what lotions etc. are concerned since they are supposed to sink in and for daily use. Other things are coming together far slower. Especially with makeup since the quality and wear is also inportant. But recently I decided to try out some deodorants that don't have as many chemicals, but most importantly that don't contain aluminum salts. Now the question remains if they work as well. Because I do appreciate a deodorant that survives a workout. This may be a weird topic to blog about. But I know that I was curious what the deal is here. So I am currently trying it out. And I will definitely report back on this when I feel like I have enough to make it worth it. I currently have two that I am testing, so we shall see how this particular experiment continues.

Don't Forget Yourself

This seems to only be timely appropriate for the last minute shoppers, but I hope everyone can get something out of it.
As the Holliday season seams to be in full swing I want to remind everyone buying or making gifts not to forget yourself. We all deserve a little treat too.
We all have some vice that we let ourselves splurge on one Ina while, and we should that is healthy so long as it doesn't become too often. This is relevant, I promise. Because for me this is an occasion, because when I know there is a big party coming up I often allow my self to buy something new and construct the rest of my outfit around that. So while I was out getting a few things for the last touches of my gifts I noticed the new Essie polishes and fell in love. Not to mention that fall and winter colors tend to be my favorites, and Essie often comes out with good colors. But I desired to treat myself and picked 'mind your mittens' because I thought it was beautiful and because I usually go for red tones which means I already have quite a few. This dark cool green grey is something different. Essentially this is my present to myself this year.
I'm working on some holiday party outfit ideas that I'm hopping I will be able to finish in time.
That's all for now!
